Angela Brown - Founder
Pastor Angela Brown has been dancing for the Lord since 1991. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she relocated to Austin, Texas in October 1996. The Lord has groomed her for ministry by placing her under the Mentorship of great dance leaders such as Dr. Ann Higgins of Nassau, Bahamas and Ruth Ann Mayer of Austin, TX. It was through these leaders that God poured His purpose into her life, for the dance, giving her a personal vision for the dance ministry.
When asked what her overall vision for dance ministry is, she responds “My vision for Dance Ministry is simply this: to use dance as a mode of expression of my love, adoration and appreciation for Jesus Christ. I want to see dance used in its pure perfect form. In other words, I want God to be the Master Choreographer. I want to use dance as a tool of Spiritual Warfare tearing down the strongholds of the enemy and setting the captives free. I also want to use dance as a tool of praise and worship by creating an atmosphere whereby the congregation can enter into the Presence of the Lord.”
Her accomplishments include hosting Annual Creative Arts Conferences and Leadership Seminars. She also served as Conference Facilitator, Conference Speaker & Instructor in Pennsylvania, Nassau, Bahamas, Iowa, Killeen, Beaumont & Houston Texas. She also has served as Dance Coordinator for the March for Jesus in Austin, Texas.
In 2010, Pastor Brown established “Vertical Worship Creative Arts Ministries,” after receiving a burden to see the Body of Christ develop and maintain a deeper more intimate relationship with the Lord by aligning themselves with the Lord vertically - and redirecting their focus back to their First Love – Jesus Christ.
In 2012, she was ordain as Pastor of Vertical Worship Creative Arts Ministries under the auspices of Dr. Ann and Pastor Henry Higgins of Creative Christian Arts Ministries International.
